Skip to content ABC Day Nursery is an accredited Wrexham Flying Start provider. Flying Start is a Welsh Government-funded programme that aims to give young children the best possible start in life. Eligible families with two-year-olds can receive up to five free childcare sessions a week at ABC Day Nursery. During the school term, we run 2.5-hour sessions every weekday morning for 39 weeks a year. The Welsh Government provides funding for all 3- to 4-year-olds in Wales to have access to Foundation Phase nursery education. Every child is entitled to a minimum of 10 hours per week of funded part-time sessions from the term after their third birthday. ABC Day Nursery is approved by the local authorities in Wrexham and Flintshire to provide this early years provision. Each child is at the centre of their learning. This child-led approach considers their interests and allows them to make their own choices.

The Childcare Offer for Wales is available to eligible parents of 3- and 4-year-olds from the term after their third birthday. It provides up to 30 hours of early education and childcare per week for up to 48 weeks a year. This is made up of ten hours of Foundation Learning plus 20 hours of childcare. To be eligible, you must be in employment, education or training.
